“The municipality would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause,” Mr Linda Tshabalala, municipal manager, said.

A notice is hereby given to the residents of the Lekwa Municipality that the municipality will fit a bypass line and reconnect a 450mm diameter pipeline.

This will be done to replace the 420m existing AC pipe along Marais Street.

1. The municipality will be connecting a bypass 450mm pipeline on 5 July for 14 hours from 4am to 6pm and will remove the bypass on 12 July for 12 hours from 4am to 4pm.

2. The communities of the industrial area, Meyerville, Sakhile and Rooikoppen will be without water on 5 July and 12 July.

3. The municipality requests that the community in the affected areas store water in preparation for the shutdown periods.

“The municipality would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause,” Mr Linda Tshabalala, municipal manager, said.
