Municipal offices repaired after set alight

The Lekwa Municipal Offices in Sakhile are currently being repaired after it went up in flames last year.

The offices were torched after the South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco) marched to the main municipal offices to submit a memorandum on 8 October.

The Social Centre was also burnt on the same day.

This was not the first time the community targeted the centre, protesters burnt it during a service delivery protest in 2009.
