Eskom halts load shedding today
Eskom stops load shedding for today.

Eskom has stopped load shedding at noon today.
However, as a result of increased electricity demand and power generating units being on maintenance, the power system is expected to be constrained during the evening peak period from 5pm to 9pm.
It is important to note that restoration of power takes longer in some areas.
Eskom apologised for the inconvenience caused by load shedding.
In winter the electricity demand peaks in the morning and evening as more electricity is used during these times.
Eskom appealed to all their customers to continue to reduce their electricity usage throughout the day, but to be aware of the need to save more during the peak periods from 6am to 10am and 5pm to 9pm.
As the evening temperatures begin to drop, they urged electricity users to consider energy efficient ways of keeping warm.
Eskom will provide regular updates on the status of the power system through all the media platforms.
