Drugs found during school search

Rizzler paper was found in the kitchen.

LEBOHANG – The police, the CPF and the K9 Unit conducted an unannounced search at two secondary schools in Lebohang.

It began at Vukuqakaze Secondary School and then proceeded to Chief Ampie Mayisa Secondary School.

The Leandra Police spokesman, W/O Khuselwa Matrose, said their main aim is to maintain a safe and conducive environment for learning at schools.

Vukuqakaze’s premises were very dirty according to W/O Matrose.

Rizzler paper which is used for smoking dagga, was found in the kitchen and that raised eyebrows because only women who cook for the feeding scheme, use the kitchen.

One of the pupils put dagga in a mathematical box and sold the dagga at school.

A pupil from Chief Ampie Mayisa said she was pleased that the police were searching the school, because boys smoke dagga and bully them in class.

“They also smell bad when they return from smoking and we have to tolerate the smell because when we complain, they beat us,” said a pupil.

W/O Matrose said the search was a success and they are planning to have an Adopt-a-cop project for Lebohang.
