The Shed athletes from Standerton dominate at Squad Games in Randburg

Two local teams earned podium finishes against almost 700 athletes from across South Africa.

Two teams from The Shed competed at the prestigious Squad Games CrossFit competition in Randburg on August 8 and 9, earning impressive podium finishes against some of South Africa’s top athletes.

With about 700 athletes taking part, Squad Games is regarded as one of South Africa’s premier CrossFit competitions.

The Shed celebrated success in both the Elite and Beginner divisions.

The Elite division winners were Gary van Aswegen together with Winston and Tinei Langridge, who secured top honours in their category.

In the beginner division, Rean, Altus and Lean Geldenhuys claimed victory in a memorable father-and-sons combination.

The strong performances highlighted the depth of talent at The Shed and marked a successful weekend for the Standerton-based CrossFit community on a national stage.
