Car ends up in river

“I parked the car, went to bed and realised that it was gone at 4.30am.”

A 2013 Polo Vivo, that belongs to Mr Michael Walters, ended up in the Vaal River on 2 September.

Mr Walters, who temporarily stays at the Waterfront Lodge, claimed that everything was in order when he parked it.

He said he ensured that the hand brake was pulled up.

According to him he was travelling from Durban and arrived at the lodge five minutes after midnight.

“I parked the car, went to bed and realised that it was gone at 4.30am.”

According to him he was getting ready to go to work when he saw that his vehicle was missing.
