KINROSS – eMdibini Grade 9 pupils said they enjoy science, because it allows them to perform experiments which make it easier to remember what they have learned.
During their science period on Thursday, 3 September they did an experiment on rust formation and the prevention method.
Queenelia Mpondosi said they used water, oxygen and metal to create rust.
“The experiment was great and the time it takes for the formation of rust depends on the exposure,” said Simanga Mngomezulu.
Mngomezulu said during their experiment they used two different apparatus, one with water, oxygen and a nail and the other one with water and oil to get the metal and non metal reaction.
Grade 9 science teacher, Mr Freddy Hlungwane is pleased that pupils have a positive attitude about science.
