UPDATE: Tutuka protest cancelled
The Eskom Stakeholders Forum, Eskom and the police had a meeting to discuss the issues that the taxi association raised.
The Standerton Taxi Association protest that was scheduled for today has been cancelled.
This decision was taken during a meeting held at the Standerton Police Station on 17 September.
The Eskom Stakeholders Forum, Eskom and the police discussed the issues that the taxi association raised.
A task team that will liaise with both Eskom and the taxi association will be formed.
This team will report directly to the Eskom Stakeholders Forum.
“I appreciate everybody’s responsible attitude and tolerance for one another’s view to reach an agreement on an amicable process going forward,” Mr Ryno Lacock, manager at Tutuka Power Station, said.
