Smart meters with remaining units removed and replaced
This community proposed that the municipality stop the installation.
Florapark and Kosmospark residents recently demanded that the Lekwa Municipality stopped the installation of smart meters.
The angry community had a meeting and said the municipality did not consult them about the installation.
Most of them claimed their old electrical meter boxes were removed without their knowledge.
According to them, the people installing the meters removed the old meter boxes with many available units and replaced them with a meter with only five units.
Some residents had enough units to last the entire month in their old meter boxes.
