Human Settlements ‘houses’ three families
Ms Martha Tshabalala could not hold back the excitement when Ms Siwela handed her the keys to her newly built home.
Ms Violet Siwela, MEC of Human Settlements, handed over three RDP houses to three families in the Lekwa Municipality on 18 September.
An elderly woman, Ms Maria Mashinini, was the first beneficiary and this 70-year-old lives with her great-granddaughter in Sakhile.
Orphans Ntombifuthi and Bongani Gumbi also received a house.
They applied for a house after both their parents died years ago.
Ms Martha Tshabalala could not hold back the excitement when Ms Siwela handed her the keys to her newly built home.
The 95-year-old stays with eight other people in her home.
