Couple dies on same day

Val Police got a tip-off that one of their police officers shot his wife on Tuesday, 6 October.

They went to the scene and discovered that the woman was dead and the officer had fled.

They found the officer with a fatal head wound on a farm next to the R50 Road later the same day.

Police suspect that the couple had relationship problems.
