WATCH – Alleged Nyaope supplier fights off addicts

20 October,1 4:05 – LEBOHANG – Local Nyaope addicts are picketing outside the yard of an alleged supplier of this drug.
The group says they want an end to Nyaope being sold in the area.
They say no matter how hard they try to quit, as long as the supplier is selling the drug they can not quit. They alleged that the supplier has a relationship with the local police.
The Nyaope group is now rotating the Township collecting everyone who smoke.
Mr Tebogo Zulu, their spokesperson, said they are ready to do whatever is necessary for Nyaope to be dealt with in the area. “We are sick and tired of this. Nyaope is killing us,” Mr Zulu said.
The group is demanding the police who are at the scene to arrest the alleged supplier. “We have reported the matter to them but nothing has been done yet. Is the alleged supplier above the law?”
The alleged Nyaope supplier is retaliating and fighting the picketing Nyaope addicts. He is carrying a knife and a shovel.
20 October, 14:18 – The Secunda K9 police are now raiding the suspected dealer’s house.
20 October, 14:32 – Police have found a small bag with Nyaope inside the house of the alleged supplier and a plastic bag full of Nyoape in his car. The raid continues.
20 October, 14:47 – Police have also raided the house of the alleged dealer’s friend where more Nyaope and Dagga were found.
20 October, 15:13 – The friend has been arrested while police are raiding more houses in the area.
20 October, 15:25 – The police have just confiscated the car of the alleged supplier.
