Relatives fight over borrowed firearm

The complainant said his nephew told him that he wanted to scare someone with the gun.

A man borrowed his nephew’s firearm and now he refuses to return it.

The complainant said his nephew told him that he wanted to scare someone with the gun.

According to him, he told his nephew that borrowing another person’s firearm is an offence.

His nephew assured him that he will hide it.

The complainant also said he went to his nephew’s home, where there was a traditional ritual, but he did not give him his gun back.

According to him, he asked where it was and the nephew said it was in another room.

The complainant asked his nephew to fetch it, but he said there were people in that room and he could not let them see it.

The complaint said he left and told him to bring it to his house, to no avail.

“I called him and asked for my firearm, he refused and said I can report him if I have a problem.”

The complainant reported the matter to the police.
