Community pays tribute to Goldi employees
Relatives and friends of the deceased could not hold back the tears as different speakers paid tribute to the men
A memorial service was held in honour of the five Goldi employees who passed away in an accident at a local school in Driehoek on 29 October.
The community and other Goldi employees came out in their numbers to bid farewell to them.
The men died after the bus they were travelling in hit an obstacle between Leandra and Devon and overturned.
According to Goldi, the community blocked the road during a service deliver protest in the area.
The South African Communist Party (SACP) engaged with Goldi to organise the service.
