Police make green strips arrests
Partnership between Secunda Police and Sasol Security bears fruits.

SECUNDA – Police and Sasol Security arrested two men aged 18 and 21 in a green strip for possession of dangerous weapons and housebreaking tools on Thursday, 29 October.
In a separate incident, members of sector policing, the police and Sasol Security arrested another two men, both 40-years-old, who were in possession of alleged stolen property in the same area.
The same team also arrested two men aged 34 and 32 for being in possession of dagga.
Lt Bettinah Zondo, Secunda police spokesman, said this was a breakthrough, because many crimes in the green strips were reported.
“Pupils coming from schools are being robbed and harassed in the green strips.
“We appreciate this partnership with Sasol Security.”
Lt Zondo thanked members of Sector Policing and Sasol Security for working together with the police in arresting the criminals.
