SECUNDA – Police warn residents to be careful when they withdraw money at ATMs.
They said too many cases are reported where ATM cards were stolen by criminals who then withdraw money from other ATMs.
Lt Bettinah Zondo, police spokesman, said: “If you are withdrawing money, you must not allow anyone to come closer and do not ask unknown people to help you.
“If you see suspicious people, go to another ATM.
“If they follow you, contact the police.”
