Sanco members appear in court
This comes after the confrontation between Sanco and the ANC during a community meeting in Sakhile on 3 November

Three members of the South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco), Messrs Madoda Sigasa, Sibusiso Nkambule and Matsimela Moloi, appeared in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on assault charges on 10 November.
This comes after the confrontation between Sanco and the ANC during a community meeting in Sakhile on 3 November.
According to the Sanco members, the complainant claimed that they attacked him during the confrontation.
“I received a call from the Sakhile Police on 5 November, saying someone has opened a case of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm against fellow Sanco members and myself,” Mr Nkambule said.
They were all told to go to the Sakhile Police Station.
Upon arrival, they were arrested, but later released on R400 bail.
Their second court appearance will be on 1 December.
