A frustrated Kosmospark resident, Mr Nico Bosman, raised concerns about a water leak outside his home.
According to him, this has been going on since February this year.
“I reported the matter to Eskom because I live in one of their houses,” Mr Bosman said.
He also said they told him that it not their responsibility to fix the leak, but they will report it to the Lekwa Municipality.
According to him, his water bill is extremely high.
“I paid about R850 for water last month and we hardly use tap water, because we buy water and I do not even water the garden.”
Mr Bosman said he contacted Eskom and they told him that they have reported the leak to the municipality numerous times.
“I do not know what is wrong, whether it is a burst pipe or not.”
The leaking water runs down the street all day, everyday.
Mr Johannes van der Wath, Ward 8 councillor, was not aware of it, but will follow up.
Mr Linda Tshabalala, municipal manager, said the matter will be attended to.
