Municipal manager and mayor sue Sanco member for R500 000 each

Mr Selepe recently received summons from the High Court

Messrs Linda Tshabalala, Lekwa municipal manager, and Linda Dhlamini, Lekwa mayor, have laid a charge of defamation of character against Mr Nicholas Selepe, Sanco zonal convener.

Mr Selepe recently received a summons from the high court.

Both Messrs Tshabalala and Dhlamani alleged that Mr Selepe convened an unlawful gathering on 19 October and made defamatory statements about them.

The complainants each demand R500 000 from Mr Selepe.

“They will never get a cent from me, not in this lifetime,” Mr Selepe said.

“I will defend this, I am not intimidated.”
