Warriors for Christ come together

Have you excepted Jesus as your savior?

Men braved the cold to pray and worship God during the Warrior for Christ Men’s Conference from 27 to 29 November at a farm near Trichardt.

Past Derek Chester Browne of Lighthouse Church in Secunda was the speaker on Saturday morning and talked about his past history as a drug dealer.

During his preaching, he said we have been designed to worship something in our lives and if it is not Jesus, it might be drugs, women, pornography and many other things.

“When Jesus wants you, He leaves you in a mess so that you can realise how much you need Him.

“I used to be violent and was even banned of entering some public areas,” said Past Browne.

He said while he was using drugs, he never paid municipal services and his electricity was cut off.

“When my electricity was cut, I improvised some other means to make sure I have electricity in my house, even if it meant illegal connections or asking my neighbours to connect me.”

He encouraged people not to mock President Jacob Zuma, but to pray for him because the Bible said we must pray for our leaders.

Before he ended his teachings, he led a number of men to accept Jesus as their saviour.
