GALLERY: Truck causes chaos at filling station
The truck crashed into two bakkies and eventually came to a standstill in front of a petrol pump.
The Standerton Advertiser decided to translate the story about the horrific accident at the Total Allegro petrol station in Walter Sisulu Drive last night after requests from the public.
According to reports, a truck driver, looking to overnight, stopped the vehicle near the parking area.
Witnesses said the truck began moving forward and ran over people in its way.
According to Mr Pieter van der Westhuizen of Jeria Ambulance Services, some were killed and others sustained injuries.
The number of deaths has not been confirmed yet.
