UPDATE: One person dead after truck crashes through filling station

Four people, as well as a young child, were admitted to the Standerton Hospital with injuries.

According to Mr John Kock, Chief Fire and Disaster Management Officer, and Mr Basjan Lombard of ambulance services, a woman died on the scene.

The name of the deceased has not been released yet.

According to Lt Fanie Nhlabathi, communications officer of the Standerton Police, the truck driver was not arrested.

A case of culpable homicide has however been opened.
