The CPF showed up and arrested the man.

A woman was almost robbed at Total Sports in the Monument Centre on 7 December.

The woman was drawing money at the ATM and noticed a man looking at her.

She went to exact! and noticed the man watching her again.

After that she went to Total Sports.

While she was there, the same man entered the shop.

The manager of the store also noticed him and asked one of the assistants to keep an eye on him.

When the woman walked towards the counter, the man, who was following her, grabbed her shopping bag and ran out of the shop.

The assistant ran after him and grabbed him in front of Nedbank where he dropped the bag.

The man got away and ran to Shoprite.

The assistant chased him and caught him near Shoprite, where he was assisted by security guards.

The Community Policing Forum (CPF) showed up and arrested the man.

No case has been opened yet, but he is in police custody.

No one was injured.
