Road closed between Standerton and Ermelo due to protest

They claimed they have not been paid production bonuses.

Dreykon Klus Civil employees have blocked the R39 Road with rocks, between Standerton and Ermelo.

They claimed they have not been paid production bonuses.

According to Senamile Phungula, Standerton Advertiser journalist who is currently on the scene, there are about 45 people protesting.

Police just arrived on the scene.

UPDATE 10:23am

According to Mr Piet Botha, Dreykon Klus Civils site manager, they are aware of the protest and asked police for assistance with the matter.

He also said that the road has been opened.

He could however not confirm at this stage whether employees will receive production bonuses.
