Marongo’s case postponed again

A High Court date will be issued on the day

Mr Yandisa Marongo’s murder case has been postponed to 22 January.

A High Court date will be issued on the day.

Mr Marongo was the suspended Senior Legal Manager at the Lekwa Municipality.

He was suspended for his involvement in the fraudulent sale of the Rooikoppen Taxi Rank.

The late Mr Marongo was last seen on 10 November 2014, a day before his final hearing.

His decomposing body was found on the R50 Road between Standerton and Leandra on 18 November last year.

Some of his personal belongings including a laptop, cell phones and sound system were stolen as well as his blue Audi A4.

One suspect was arrested in June.

He applied for bail that was denied.

The suspect is currently under witness protection.
