UPDATE: Residents looting all foreign-owned shops is getting out of control.
Nearly every shop has been vandalised.
Residents are now also throwing stones at the police.
The police has made a small number of arrests.
eMZINONI – Two Samalis were arrested about the murder of a man.
The deceased allegedly stole items from the Somalis’ shop and when he returned, the Somali shop owner allegedly stabbed him.
The deceased ran away, fell metres away from the shop and died.
Angry residents set the shop alight.
The police were quickly on the scene and the fire was extinquished before it could cause major damage.
Residents are looting the foreigners’ shops. The situation is chaotic.
