
SECUNDA – Three armed men entered a store in the CBD on Tuesday afternoon and pretended to be shoppers.
One acted as if he was interested in buying shoes, the other a cell phone and the third robber was looking at clothes.
One of the robbers pointed a firearm at a sales lady and told her calmly that they are being robbed.
The other two men also took their guns out.
The robbers ordered the staff to stay in the bathroom while they collected the items they wanted.
The panic button is in the bathroom and one of the women pressed it and it registered at the head office of the security company.
One of the women was clever enough to send a text message to the mall management to inform them they are being robbed.
The police was informed as well as security.
No one was hurt but some of the staff were treated for shock by Langamed South Ambulance Services at the scene.
One of the robbers was speaking English with a Nigerian accent.
An unknown amount of money was stolen, as well as perfume and cell phones.
