Neville got saved from death sentence

Evangelist aims to inspire inmates and gangsters to live a better life.

Mr Neville Petersen will be sharing how God saved him from a life in gangsterism at Agape Faith Ministries in Kinross.

Mr Petersen, who is now an evangelist, spent his youth on the Cape Flats and aims to inspire inmates and gangsters to live a better life.

He is a reformed gangster and former prisoner and said God saved him on his day of execution.

He was given a death sentence in 1969 and the day he was supposed to be executed, God told him He will give him a second chance and that he had to preach the Gospel to prisoners.

After serving another eight years, he was released in 1984 and he never looked back.

Mr Peterson will be at the Agape Faith Ministries on Saturday, 6 February at 7pm and entrance is free.
