More leased vehicles were delivered to the Lekwa Municipality on 12 February.
These include six bakkies and three refuse collection trucks.
The municipality has a 36-months contract with a company named Afrirent from which they are leasing the vehicles.
Municipal employees recently demanded that the municipality gets rid of all the contractors they have appointed.
Afrirent was one of the contractors mentioned.
According to Mr Linda Tshabalala, municipal manager, it is not possible for him to terminate the contract between Afrirent and the municipality.
