The Department of Education will meet with the community representatives who voiced the parents’ concerns about Azalea Combined School on 16 February.
They will gather at the circuit offices on Monday, 29 February to discuss their issues after they submitted their grievances to the circuit office and later met with Ms Mirriam Khumalo, acting principal at the school.
According to Ms Rayhana Malisa, community representative, the community held a meeting on 22 February and most of the Azalea residents spoke out about their dissatisfaction with the school.
The community requested the school to get rid of one of the teachers who allegedly assaulted a pupil.
They called on the School Governing Body (SGB) to resign with immediate effect.
