Seven pupils from different local primary schools will be representing the Lekwa West Circuit at the Gert Sibande District Chess Championship on 21 May.
They had a practice a session at the Department of Education’s circuit offices on 2 May. These pupils won in the circuit championship that was held at Laerskool Kalie de Haas on 25 April.
Only four primary schools competed in the circuit championship.
These include Thandeka Primary School, Hlobisa Primary School, Laerskool Kalie De Haas and Igugulabasha Primary School.
