LEANDRA – A taxi driver of Zamokuhle Taxi Association was shot dead on Sunday, 8 May.
The police are investigating and could not yet confirm that the murder was linked to the recent taxi violence between Vukta and Zamokuhle Taxi Associations.
The man sustained three bullet wounds and died on the scene.
He was travelling from Springs when he was killed.
Mr Fanyana Sibanyoni, chairman of Vukta, distanced his association from the murder.
Mr Sol Vilakazi of Zamokuhle did not return the newspaper’s calls for comment.
Nobody has been arrested yet.
