Khanyisile an instrument in God’s hands

“I am that girl living a pure life for all those other girls who were raped and abused.”

SECUNDA – Khanyisile Jaceni (20) was born and raised in eMbalenhle and singing has always been one of her biggest loves.

“I think I sang before I could talk.”

She never had any formal training and says that it is a passion.

“You do not learn a passion, you find it.”

She said that everybody must find their passion, nurture it and ensure it becomes a beautiful thing to share with the world.

“As a Christian I am in love with God, I follow the Bible.”

Khanyisile is one of three children.

She matriculated in 2013 and was a pupil at Highveld Park High.

She comes from a musical family and they all love making music together.

“My mother had the most beautiful singing voice, but since my birth, she can not sing anymore.

“She laughs and tells me all the time I stole her voice.”

Khanyisile enjoys cooking, loves her animals and is also an engineering student.

“Singing is my gift from God and I will praise only Him with this instrument.”

She also said that music is therapeutic to her and she has a song for every emotion.

“My mother deserves the utmost respect, so when she scolds me, I sing instead of back chatting her.

“She gave me life and if it was not for her, I would not be where I am today.”

She also said that her mother did not expose her to cruelty and always protected her.

“Nothing in this world is free and I work for what I want.

“Young people must know that you do not accomplish anything by being lazy.”

Being a Christian, Khanyisile feels strong about her morals.

“I will not go above what God wants me to do, because He must be proud and satisfied with my life.

“I want to be the voice that gives hope, heals and give people a sense of living.”

She is outspoken about young girls that have no morals.

“I learn through other people’s mistakes and I do not want to be that girl that does not have values or self respect.

“I am that girl living a pure life for all those other girls who were raped and abused.”

She said that the one quality that sets her apart from others, is that she does not compromise.

“My life is so much more than having a boyfriend or being the popular girl.

“I know that God will send the right man my way, but until then, I will wait.

“If you do not take God seriously then you will live with hate and worry about politics.

“I always ask myself if I will be satisfied if I do not have a house, a car or stardom.”
