Collect your ID at Bethal home affairs

BETHAL – Bethal Home Affairs is in possession of 466 ID smartcards, 16 green bar-coded ID’s and 142 passports that have not been collected by the owners.

Of the 466 ID smartcards, 64 have been lying in the office for more than five months.

Applicants are urged to collect their documents that will enable them to vote.

For those who want to apply for ID Smartcards the requirements are:

– Applications by first applicants and pensioners are free;

– Applications for re-issue of IDs are R140;

– First applicants must bring their birth certificates and mother`s ID document.

No ID photos required.
