His fans will also have the opportunity to buy one of his cookbooks and 10 lucky buyers will have their books personally signed in a face to face meeting with Mr Riffel.
SECUNDA – Local good food lovers have something to be excited about as one of South Africa’s top chefs, Mr Reuben Riffel, will be in Secunda for two fantastic food events in September.
On 2 September, Mr Riffel will be “on the grill” at the New Secunda SuperSpar in Horwood Street where you will be able to see him in action and taste some of his trademark extraordinary creations.
His fans will also have the opportunity to buy one of his cookbooks and 10 lucky buyers will have their books personally signed in a face to face meeting with Mr Riffel.
If you spend more than R300 at the new Secunda SuperSpar and place your slip in one of the boxes at the checkout, you stand a chance to win one set of double tickets to the Duo Din-Din that is hosted by Hoërskool Secunda and the New Secunda SuperSpar.
The new Secunda SuperSpar in Horwood Street is also the main sponsor of the second event on Saturday morning that takes place in collaboration with a Masterchef judge and Mr Riffel.
The Duo Din-Din takes place at the Sasol Secunda Club’s main hall at 11am for 11.30am.
The afternoon promises to be a wonderful taste experience with a three-course meal prepared by Mr Riffel.
He will demonstrate each course before it is served and guests will be able to learn some valuable tricks to take home and try out on their families.
The Duo Din-Din experience will allow guests to have a more intimate encounter with Mr Riffel.
His years of experience in some of South Africa’s best restaurants as well as his time spent abroad, make Mr Riffel a chef with a particular set of skills.
He is able to work with flavours and textures and blend them together into masterfully delicate meals that evoke memories of home cooking, and leaves you ready for adventures in far flung countries.
The guitar duo CH2 will entertain the guests at the Duo Din-Din.
There are a limited number of tickets still available.
