eMba residents shocked by worms in tap water
Municipal official refuses to comment.
eMBALENHLE – Ext 15 residents were shocked to find little red worms floating in their tap water.
“We noticed the water was green last week.
“This week worms are coming out of our water taps.”
Locals alleged Govan Mbeki Municipality claimed residents are lying and are influenced politically.
Messrs Lucky Mhlongo, municipal communication officer, and Thokozani Ndwadwe, municipal official, were on the scene.
Mr Mhlongo was asked for comment, but refused to comment and said he is not working for the water and sanitation department.
