HIGHVELD – The Highveld Ridge SPCA in conjunction with Graceland Hotel and Casino and Country Club, Heritage Properties, Teks Decor and Event Management and Schalk Burger & Sons Welbedacht Wines have two exciting fundraising events coming up in March.

The first event is a golf day at Graceland on 4 March.

According to Ms Vania Brand, member of the Highveld Ridge SPCA management committee and organiser of this event, the SPCA needs the support of the local community to be able to continue their work.

“The SPCA is a non-profit organisation that works hard to prevent cruelty against and promote the welfare of all animals, and the SPCA is completely dependent on community support and donations as we receive no government funding.

“You can support us by buying a hole.

“We are selling holes 1, 9 and 18 for R10 000 and the rest of the holes at R5 000 each.

“Alternatively you can show your support by sponsoring prizes or by donating money towards the day.”

Ms Brand was particularly excited about the second event, which is a food and wine pairing.

“This event is a gala dinner that will also be held at Graceland Hotel, Casino and Country Club on 11 March.

“It is a formal event with a three-course meal paired with Schalk Burger & Sons Welbedacht Wines.

“We have been discussing the menu and guests are in for a treat.

“Entertainment will be provided by Dieter Uken, local talented artists and a few entertainment surprises throughout the night.”

Tickets for this event are available at R400 per person or you can book a table for R3 500.
