Local business owners support school

Local business owners donate sanitary supplies to a school.

Local business owners handed over toilet paper and sanitary towels at the Ithafa Secondary School last Monday.

The Chief Whip of Gert Sibande District Municipality, Mr Trevor Nkosi, together with business owners Ms Thandeka Maseko, Solly Pohlo, Smangaliso Manana and Makhosini Mabuza donated sanitary supplies that will assist pupils of the school.

The lack of toilet paper had led learners to use alternative methods when using toilets , which ultimately led to the plumbing system becoming blocked, resulting in a health issue.

The sanitary towels will help school attendance, as lack thereof force girls to stay at home.

The school principal, Mr Doctor Mango, said he is etremely grateful for the donation, as it would go a long way in preserving the dignity of the learners.
