EFF demands land
EFF slammed the police for arresting them after members occupied land.
The Economic Freedom Fighters and Ext 22 residents marched to the eMbalenhle Municipal offices to voice their dissatisfaction with service delivery in the area.
The party is not happy about various service delivery issues, such as sewer, water and electricity, roads and land.
The EFF said land is a priority and it has noted that the municipality has not yet provided land for the community and that it claims there is no land available, while land is sold daily to municipal officials and business people.
It urged the municipality to recognise the land that residents invaded in Ward 9 and provide them with services such as water and electricity.
