Mayflower Police receive a tip off that leads to a marijuana bust at the Dundonald Taxi Rank

A community member called the police informing them about a man carrying a suspicious looking piece of luggage at the Dundonald Taxi Rank.

Mayflower Police arrested a 25 year old male who was found in possession of marijuana with a street value of R6000 last Friday.

This came after a tip off by a community member at the Dundonald Taxi Rank, who called police informing them of a man carrying a suspicious piece of luggage.

Police responded immediately, apprehended the man, requesting to search him and 12 rolls of marijuana weighing 5,22 kg were seized.

The suspect appeared at the Mayflower Periodical Court yesterday and was sentenced to six months in prison.
