Neletsa brings back the old way of couriering parcels
Neletsa do not just end by transporting the parcels, but also track the whole process of delivering them.
Mr Joshua Mahlombe uses a network of motorists to have parcels delivered or picked up.
He is an application developer and created an application on which motorists who want to make extra money by transporting parcels as part of their daily journey, can register their details.
People who want to send parcels also register their details and when they want to send a parcel, a short message will be sent to them with a reference number to be used as confirmation.
The number will be the same as the one received by the motorist who will be picking up the parcel.
The owner of Neletsa.com said there are people who drive between towns daily and can be used to deliver the parcels.
“For example, is you want to send an emergency parcel from Secunda to Johannesburg, you log into the application that you have a parcel to be picked up in Secunda and our network of motorists will see it.
“If someone from our network of motorists go in that direction, they log into the application and confirm they will bring your parcel.”
Mr Mahlombe added that an SMS confirmation with a number will be sent to the recipient and the one delivering the parcel.
He said when the delivery person arrives to pick up a parcel, he has to provide the reference number.
Neletsa also tracks the process.
