[BREAKING NEWS] Eskom will disconnect the power from 9 October

Eskom has taken a decision to proceed with the contemplated interruption and/or disconnection of bulk electricity supply to Govan Mbeki Local Municipality commencing on 9 October.

Eskom will disconnect the electricity of Secunda, Bethal, eMbalenhle and eMzinoni at these scheduled times.

Mondays to Fridays from 6am to 8am and again at 5pm to 7.30pm.

Saturdays and Sundays from 8.30am to 11am and again from 3p to 5.30pm.

Mr Bheki Kubheka, the municipality’s head of marketing and branding, said the municipality received a letter that Eskom will implement the interruption of bulk electricity supply effective on 9 October.

“We could not meet Eskom today due to other commitments and we will issue a statement after the meeting with Eskom tomorrow.
