Mayor Flora Maboa-Boltman’s new car on hold for now
It seems as though the executive mayor of Govan Mbeki Municipality, Ms Flora Maboa-Boltman, will not be getting a new car, for now.
It seems as though the executive mayor of Govan Mbeki Municipality, Ms Flora Maboa-Boltman, will not be getting a new car, for now.
This came after DA councillors and members protested at a women’s council meeting in August and questioned the municipality’s priority list.
It was mentioned at a portfolio meeting that the mayor qualifies for a new car.
There was also talk of a new car for the Speaker.
After DA councillors’ concerns and protests were heard, the matter of new cars was not mentioned again.
