Daycare centres from Ward 16 came together last Friday to participate in a sports day.
The aim of the event was to develop the preschooler not only in body and mind, but teach them the spirit of never giving up.
The games began with representatives from various government institutions which included the police, Department of Health and Msukaligwa firefighters, giving heartwarming presentations to the children.
Subjects ranging from washing of hands to reporting a crime were discussed.

The children took to the field, taking part in frog jump, sack jump, potato spoon and relay.
This is also part of the Early Childhood Development Programme presented by the Department of Social Development.
“We would like to thank all representatives of the various stakeholders who graced us with their presence.
“The children enjoyed it immensely,” said principal of Londeka Daycare, Ms Dudu Nkosi.
Nobody was declared winners with the children all receiving vuvuzelas and medals from the Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation.
