Thistle Grove Combined School hosted their annual academic awards ceremony at Kinross Sasol Club recently.
They handed out certificates and awards to the top achieving learners from Grade 1 to Grade 12.
The school principal, Mr Japie Masilela, shared the school’s academic vision and thanked the learners for their hard work throughout the year.
Mia Maseehuhllah (Grade 11) received the Principal’s Award for an overall of 81 per cent.
Yusuf Cassim won the Dux Award for obtaining distinctions in maths (83 per cent), life orientation (87 per cent), accounting (85 per cent), life sciences (79 per cent) and physical sciences (79 per cent).
Yusuf is the top achiever of the class of 2017.
