The Local Business Forum (LBF), among others, forcibly removed government employees from various municipal buildings on 1 March.

The various forums even went to halt operations at Ext 8 in Sakhile where RDP projects are underway, while others are nearing completion.

They claimed that a company not from Standerton are managing the projects.

“Until the municipality completely does away with outside companies, we will not stop,” they said.

Another forum member said they will shut down operations till the municipality plays fair.

The municipal buildings in town and Sakhile were closed as well as the traffic department.
