Sanco reacts to businesses’ protests

Those present at the meeting claimed they heard gunshots.

The South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco) allegedly intimidated local businesses on 12 March.

This follows a week long protest outside the Lekwa municipal building where local businesses fought against what they call corruption and maladministration,

Cars were allegedly damaged during a meeting held at the Sakhile Stadium.

Those present at the meeting, claimed they heard gunshots.

SANCO and local businesses tried to open a case of intimidation against each other on 13 March.

The Sakhile Police advised both parties to find an amicable solution as this was more of a political issue.
