SECUNDA – Nkosinathi Mahlangu (31) from eMbalenhle was sentenced in the Secunda Regional Court to eight years’ imprisonment on 26 February for raping a five-year-old girl in 2014.
The victim was playing with her sister (7) outside their house in Ext 15 in eMbalenhle when Mahlangu grabbed and took her to his house.
The victim’s sister followed them and heard her sister crying inside the shack. She peeked through a window and saw Mahlangu lying on top of her sister.
She ran home and called her parents, who informed the police.
