Hawkers in Bethal CBD are persistent

Hawkers back in CBD after two days.

BETHAL – In a joined operation, the police, the law enforcement department and Ms Marietjie Fourie, DA councillor, removed the hawkers in Bethal’s CBD on Thursday, 15 March.

However, all of them were back again, on 17 March, illegally selling their goods on the streets of Bethal’s CBD.

The police and law enforcement department loaded the hawkers’ goods onto bakkies and removed them on Thursday.

Ms Fourie said she received many complaints from business owners and residents regarding these hawkers. She will arrange another operation to have them removed again.
