Be careful where you park your car say cops after two vehicles were stolen in Secunda

A lone car is a sure target for thieves

SECUNDA – The local police warned motorists to be careful where and how they leave their vehicles when they go for shopping.

This came after two cars were stolen near Builders Warehouse on Saturday, 10 March.

The owner of one of the stolen vehicles was an athlete who took part in the PwC Kosmos 3-in-1 race.

Capt Bettina Zondo, police spokesman, said motorists should avoid parking their vehicles in isolated areas away from other vehicles.

“A lone car is a sure target for thieves. ”

She also warned motorists to make double sure that their vehicles are locked and that no parcels and valuables are visible through the windows.
